Over the last decade, many expensive burgers have emerged, but none compare to Jan de Veen’s creation. Its high price is due to luxurious ingredients: a patty made from A5 Japanese Wagyu beef and chuck short ribs, topped with white truffles, Paleta Iberico Bellota ham, Dom Perignon-battered onion rings, Beluga caviar, and king crab, all in a saffron gold-leaf bun with Dom Perignon. The "Golden Boy" also features a barbecue sauce with Kopi Luwak coffee and Macallan single malt whiskey. De Daltons describes its flavor as “intense.”

This week we saw the release of the much anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine we will be looking at Comic Books as an investment:

Comic books have grown significantly as an investment asset over the years, appealing to collectors and investors alike. Here's an overview of what you need to know:

Why Invest in Comic Books?
  1. Historical Value: Classic comics, especially those from the Golden Age (1938-1956), Silver Age (1956-1970), and Bronze Age (1970-1985), often hold substantial historical and cultural significance.

  2. Rarity: Limited print runs, especially for older comics, make certain issues rare and highly sought after.

  3. Pop Culture Impact: The rise of comic-based movies and TV shows has increased demand for key issues and characters.

  4. Appreciation Potential: High-grade copies of key issues, first appearances, and significant storylines have shown consistent value appreciation.

Key Factors to Consider
  1. Condition: The grade of a comic, typically assessed by the Certified Guaranty Company (CGC), is crucial. Higher grades (near mint to mint) are more valuable.

  2. Significant Issues: First appearances, major story arcs, and iconic covers often command higher prices.

  3. Market Trends: Keep an eye on industry trends, including movie releases and anniversaries, which can spike interest and value.

  4. Authenticity: Ensure the comic’s authenticity and originality. Reprints and counterfeit issues have little to no investment value.

  1. Action Comics #1 (1938): First appearance of Superman.

  2. Detective Comics #27 (1939): First appearance of Batman.

  3. Amazing Fantasy #15 (1962): First appearance of Spider-Man.

  4. X-Men #1 (1963): First appearance of the X-Men.

  5. Incredible Hulk #181 (1974): First full appearance of Wolverine.

Tips for Investing
  1. Do Your Research: Understand the market, notable issues, and current values.

  2. Buy What You Love: Invest in characters and series you are passionate about, which can make the investment more enjoyable.

  3. Diverse Portfolio: Like any investment, diversify. Don’t put all your money into one comic or series.

  4. Storage: Proper storage is essential to maintain condition. Use acid-free boards and bags, and store in a cool, dry place.

  5. Professional Grading: Consider having valuable comics graded by a professional service like CGC to maximize their resale value.

Risks and Considerations
  1. Market Volatility: The comic book market can be volatile and subject to trends and fads.

  2. Liquidity: Selling comics can sometimes be challenging, and it may take time to find the right buyer.

  3. Counterfeits: Be wary of counterfeit comics and ensure purchases are made from reputable dealers.

Investing in comic books can be both financially rewarding and personally fulfilling, combining the joy of collecting with the potential for long-term value appreciation.

4. How to Make It: Explore lucrative money-making ventures and discover opportunities to boost your income. Whether you're looking to start a new business, invest in startups, or find side hustles, we'll share practical advice and success stories to inspire your entrepreneurial spirit.

This week, we will look at how even employees can become millionaires:

5. How to Give It: Receiving is great, but giving is even better. Many wealthy people go beyond just giving to charities and set up philanthropic organizations in their own right. There are as many charities as there are causes, from some of the more obscure ones to some very well known ones. Each week, we will take a look at a different charity and the work they do.

Here is a list of charities that are known to give the most value to their beneficiaries by keeping their operating costs very low, generally less than 25%.
